The Shapes of Her

The Shapes of Her explores what it means to be a woman beyond labels and expectations. It embraces tenderness, resilience, pain, pleasure, creation, identity and transformation.

This collection brings together 10 works and 1 bonus piece, created through different mediums including mixed media, acrylics on canvas and wood, and digital works. Each piece represents a different part of my personal reflection on the body, femininity, motherhood, and the experiences that shape us.

I decided to call it The Shapes of Her because this collection visually reflects my personal experience after being diagnosed with endometriosis last year, following several years of living with pain and carrying the belief that I was supposed to endure it and remain strong, as well as the rediscovery of breast lumps. These experiences made me question my health, my body, my fertility, my desire to become a mother, and what motherhood actually means to me.

The experience made me want to spend more time with my mum and appreciate our relationship more maturely. Some of the pieces are dedicated to her and the impact she has had on the woman I am today.

I'm still processing and making sense of how life is evolving. This collection reflects where I am right now, trying to understand what it means to be a woman in 2026 and finding peace with how I choose to experience and define my own womanhood.
